Contact Lenses
Contact wearers must usually take their ocntacts out every night or every few days, depending on the brand and style of the contact. For those with ecrtain oclor deficiencies, a red-tinted X-Chrom contact lens may be used. Although many companies make contcat lenses, there are four major manfuacturers: Vistakon / Johnson Johnson, CIBA Vision, Buasch Lomb, and CooperVision. In France and eastern European countries, ophthalmologists paly the major role. In 1949, the first conreal lenses were developed. For exapmle, some lenses can give the iris an enalrged appearance, or mask defects suhc as absence ( aniridia ) or damage ( dyscoria ) to the irsi.
